Chicago Bulls Summer

During the 2018 offseason, the Chicago Bulls have made three key moves to get back into a playoff position in the east. The first move was to re-sign Zach Lavine to a 4 year 78,000,000 contract. He played just 24 games all season with Chicago, averaging 16.7 points per game. Although the injury concern is understandable, LaVine is still only scratching the surface of his potential. The 23-year-old averaged 18.9 PPG in 2016-17 with Minnesota and is a 37.3 percent shooter from three-point range. Also, he has great athleticism and should be able to reach his full potential in Chicago.

Chicago’s second key move was to get a good big that can help the team on both sides of the ball. They had many options throughout the draft and free agency but the Bulls decided to go through the draft which was an excellent idea. With the 7th pick of the NBA draft the Chicago Bulls selected Wendell Carter Jr. From Duke University. During his amazing summer league campaign he averaged 15 points with 9 rebounds. He looks very impressive and should help the Bulls during this season in many ways.

Finally, the last key move for the Chicago Bulls was to get a talented Wing player. The Bulls accomplished just that by signing Jabari Parker to a 2 year 40,000,000 contract. The got an explosive wing player that can do almost everything on the floor. Jabari is also a Chicago legend because while playing high school ball at Simeon in the inner city of Chicago he won 4 state championships. Hopefully he helps the Bulls contend for a championship one day.
